I dont think Terraria is ANYTHING like Minecraft. Anyone who sees Terraria as some knockoff of Minecraft is stupid. Although they both have the similarity of using tiles and blocks to build terrain and structures, there are a lot more things that cannot be related. Terraria is a game that focuses more on adventuring and battling mobs while Minecraft is a freestyle building kind of game. Terraria also has WAY more mobs, weapons, armor, blocks, and use for npc's. Unlike Minecraft, Terraria has much more realistic water and lava physics; there is no acutal water/lava source tile/block that can be created. To whoever summarized this game on this website, I think you can clearly acknowledge that the two games are NOTHING alike and should not be judged as a knockoff of each other just because they have similar "blocky terrain." Just think about it, wouldn't building be hard if say the building material was in the shape of a sphere or something? The reason why blocks and tiles were chosen as the foundation of the game is becuase it made it easy to animate. I can give lots of examples where tiles and blocks are used in a game that is nothing like Minecraft (Ace of Spades for instance).It's an awesome game that anybody can hours upon hours playing. .
